Hi my name is Holly, and I am obsessed with all things, sewing knitting and fashion design. I recently made the decision not to go to University and instead follow my dream of building a community of creative of people who, like me, want to make a difference in the fashion industry.

I am from a small town in The Lake District, however I have lived all over the UK growing up. In 2025 I worked as an au pair in Paris and absolutely fell in love with the city. I can’t wait to go back there and hopefully meet some more french friends/ other Paris expats. Coucou les amis Français!

Before jetting off to Paris, I did an art foundation diploma, specialising in fashion design. It was one of the best things I could have done for myself at the time, and I gained so much confidence in my designing and making. However, I quickly realised that the strict deadlines and constraints of art school weren’t for me. I found that it took a lot of the joy out of making and by the end of my course, the high fashion path that I had wanted to go down for so long, didn’t feel like my dream any more.

My dream growing up was actually to be a performer, I started dancing from the ages of 3 to 5 and picked it back up again when I was 11. This was the most important thing to me for such a long time, until I discovered sewing… Even though I only dance once a week now, I believe that it has shaped me into the person I am today and I am so greatful for my teachers and all of the friends I made through dance.

I can’t wait to see what the future has to hold for my little idea, I really hope that my work, ambitions and struggles resonate with some of you and you want to follow along on the journey!
